The CRAR Process

Three Stages of Enforcement

CRAR replaced the Laws of Distress in April 2014. All fees are charged to the tenant.

Compliance Stage

We serve a Notice of Enforcement giving the tenant 14 clear days to pay. Compliance fee: ยฃ79 + VAT โ€” charged to the tenant.

Enforcement Stage

If unpaid, our certificated enforcement agent attends. Fee: ยฃ247 + 7.5% on arrears over ยฃ1,900.

Sale or Disposal Stage

Goods can be removed and sold. Fee: ยฃ116 + 7.5% over ยฃ1,900 plus auctioneers' costs.
